Toki Japanese Whisky, Campari, and grapefruit—a bright, citrus-forward aperitif riff.
The Scotch Smash is built around a deliberate mismatch. Toki Whisky is a Japanese blend designed for delicacy -- light, floral, with subtle cedarwood and honey. It is not the whisky you would normally pair with bitter Campari and grapefruit juice. That tension is the point. Campari's intensity makes Toki's delicacy more legible, not less -- the contrast sharpens both. The grapefruit juice provides the acid and citrus bitterness that connects Campari to Toki's subtle notes. It is a drink that works because it shouldn't, and because the low-proof base keeps the whole build light and aperitif-ready.
